Heavy Rains Disrupted Mumbai Suburban Rail Network

After a week long heavy rains mumbai local rail network completely disrupted. Large number of commuters effected due to heavy rains. tracks completely damaged due to heavy rains. Mumbai subarban network started fixing the track works immediately after rains taking break.

Indian railways putting all efforts to restore the normal situation and commuters are hoping to restore the services as early as possible. This is not the first time bumbai suffered due to heavy rains.

Local trains are the main commuting channels for mumbai people. In regular trains ply with full pack of people.

The railway official said though the water receded on tracks near the Nallasopara station (located in adjoining Palghar district), it was still “not at a safe level” to run trains. The suburban train services between Bhayander and Virar will commence once the water level on tracks comes down further, he said. “Our suburban services are normalising, but regular services will be started only after the water recedes to a safe level on all lines,” Bhakar said.
